This is a place that promotes health, general well being and “functional fitness” preparing your body to face the rigors of everyday life a step up and beyond the hardbody pump palaces of the past. Based on an educational approach to health and fitness, our helpful staff, trainers, class instructors, equipment and nutritional products all provide members the resources to achieve goals. The architecture of the club is part of how this happens. The “core” (torso midsection, a fundamental component of functional strength) fitness room is a central, accessible area for all members to use, helping members to develop fundamental abdominal and back strength, agility, stability and flexibility. In many other clubs, this equipment is restricted to personal training clients or just in short supply or non-existent. For cardio fitness, a roomful of treadmills, stationery bikes and elliptical trainers face four wide screen television screens. FreeMotion™machines line the cardio room, a terrific complement to the full selection of free weight facilities just one room away. Group exercises, indoor cycling, pilates, cardio kick boxing, rep Reebok, functional circuit and yoga classes each are provided free to members. The people at West Loop Gym are another essential component. Certified trainers with a broad variety of fitness backgrounds and interest make the experience smart, strategic and effective for members. And did we mention the free parking? Most members thank us for providing an adult, professional atmosphere where they feel welcome and supported. We just think of it as the right way to run a modern fitness facility. Personal Training Many West Loop Gym members take advantage of the fitness staff to learn more about training and find the motivation and discipline to achieve their goals. West Loop Gym trainers come from a broad range of backgrounds and certifications see Meet the Team to learn more about each of them.
